When I started the Festival back in 1967 with two friends, I had a budget of US$ 7000 for a three-day event. I called it the International Montreux Jazz Festival because we had bands from all over Europe and one American band: Charles Lloyd with Keith Jarrett.

I never dreamt that nearly a quarter of a century later I would have the tremendous honor of having Quincy Jones co-produce the Festival for three years, in 1991, 1992 and 1993.

iConcerts - Hard Rock - Korn - Live at Montreux 2004
Korn came out of California in the early nineties and went on to become one of the most globally successful metal acts of their generation. They continue to play live to vast crowds and have record sales in the millions. This concert from Montreux in 2004 is their only performance at the festival to date. Naturally 7 were founded in New York City in 1999 by brothers Roger and Warren Thomas. A group of hugely talented vocalists they go one step further by also producing all their instrumental sounds with their voices. They released their debut album on an independent label in 2000 and signed to Sony/BMG in 2003.
